Current Available Scholarships

The Music in the Mountains Scholarship Fund offers a vast array of music scholarships for applicants. Listed below are the current music scholarships available from the Music in the Mountains Scholarship Fund.

Pre-College Private Music Lessons Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded on a six month calendar period, as outlined HERE, for applicants seeking funding for private music lessons. Scholarship funding normally ranges from 50-75% of total tuition. Funding is paid on a monthly basis directly to the private lesson teacher or music school administering the lessons. Significant preparation and mandatory attendance on the scholarship recipient’s part is required during the funding period. This scholarship requires recipients to volunteer four hours of their time to a music-related community service project each scholarship funding period. Proof of these volunteer hours must be presented to the Board of Directors HERE prior to the end of the scholarship funding period. Additional scholarship funding will not be considered by the Board of Directors until all hours of the community service project are complete and the Community Service Verification form has been submitted.

Pre-College Music Ensembles Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded on a six month calendar period, as outlined HERE, for applicants seeking funding to participate in a music ensembles. Scholarship funding normally ranges from 50-75% of total tuition. One-time funding is paid directly to the ensemble teacher or music school administering the ensemble by the beginning of the ensemble start date. Music ensembles scholarship recipients are exempt from the community service project.

Pre-College Music Classes Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded on a six month calendar period, as outlined HERE, for applicants seeking funding to participate in a music class. Scholarship funding normally ranges from 50-75% of total tuition. One-time funding is paid directly to the class teacher or music school administering the class by the beginning of the class start date. Music class scholarship recipients are exempt from the community service project.

University Music Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded on an annual basis, as outlined HERE, for applicants currently enrolled full time in a university, college, or conservatory music program. Scholarship funding amounts may vary. Applicants may reapply for scholarship funding annually. One-time funding is paid directly to the applicant to use for tuition, fees, books, and supplies. University music scholarship recipients are exempt from the community service project.
